Cosmetica Master Advanced Education
Cosmetica has the objective of supporting you even more in your studies and preparation for your final examination.
The purpose of Cosmetica is the same as yours: for you to successfully pass the state examination and obtain your professional license as a professional in the world of the science and art of beauty.
This course has been designed as a supplemental theory review focused on strengthening the key concepts evaluated on the State Board examination and helping you approach your exam with greater confidence, clarity, and preparation.
WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?
This course focuses on a structured review of the official State Board topics, providing students with the opportunity to reinforce important concepts, improve theoretical understanding, and become familiar with technical vocabulary.
HOW IS THE COURSE OFFERED?
Day: Wednesday Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Language: Spanish and English (alternating weekly)
Format: Rotating program with 22 official topics
Each topic is taught over two consecutive weeks: • One week in Spanish •
The following week in English
After completing Topic 22, the program returns to Topic 1, allowing students to join at any point during the year.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is intended only for graduated students who are in the process of obtaining their professional license and who have already submitted their documents to the state in order to take the State Board examination. Also is intended for graduated students that need to retake the State Board Exam.
This course applies to the following licenses:
• Barbering
• Cosmetology
• Esthetics
• Nails
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
• Safety and infection control
• Skin, hair, and nail analysis
• Chemical services
• Haircutting, styling, shaving, and makeup
• Technical vocabulary in Spanish and English
• Strategies for answering State Board-style exam questions
At this time, these basic reinforcement classes are offered free of cost for our apprentices that have completed all their courses and are about to take their state exam or need to prepare for an state exam retake.
In addition to the theory preparation course, the school offers optional personalized classes for students who wish to strengthen specific areas and receive individual support. These sessions are designed to clarify questions, review key State Board exam topics, and work directly with the instructor based on your individual needs. If you would like to strengthen your preparation and receive personalized support, you may request these additional sessions.
